Third party games have been responsible for the majority of innovation since the PS1 era.
Exclusives have their place because they're built for the hardware and tend to have tons of funding.
However the fact remains if you look back at all the milestone games in "modern" gaming since PS1 A LOT of them are third party games.

Think about it.
They spent over $100 Million making GTA IV and its advanced specialized open world engine RAGE made especially for the PS3 and 360. They're going to want to get more than one GTA game out of that engine as well as other games.
Instead of doing the next full numbered sequel they'll probably do the Vice City San Andreas thing from last gener...

I'd like to see a San Andreas type setting but instead of the US they do EU with cities that are based on various European cities. London, Paris, Berlin and Amersterdam maybe. That would be awesome.

I own both consoles. Both connected wirelessly to the same router in the same location on the same 8mb connection.

This article just takes the garbage rumor about some EB Games employee and tacks on "Its a great time". Well last Christmas "was a great time too" and it didn't happen.
